Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai has directed chiefs of security agencies to tighten security in the country.
The prime minister gave such direction to the Home Minister, Home Secretary, Defence Secretary, chiefs of all four security agencies, at his office in Singhadurbar, Wednesday morning.
Prime Minister Bhattarai also directed the chiefs not to leave any stone unturned to maintain law and order situation.
During the meeting, the security officials briefed the prime minister about the nation’s security situation and its challenges.
Also today, the prime minister is due to hold a joint consultation with the former prime ministers who were at the helm after the restoration of democracy 1990.
It has been reported that the meeting will dwell upon the peace process, constitution drafting, and other contentious issues.
Likewise, Prime Minister Bhattarai is also scheduled to meet former chief secretaries at 1 this afternoon.
